- Link-building pays. Links are also important — whether you link to external content, internal content on your own site, or another site links to your site — because these links tell search engines that your content is highly regarded and helpful for people searching for your content.
- Load time matters. If your site has a painfully slow load time, whether it’s a server issue, or photo files are too large, etc., you may have a high bounce rate. A high bounce rate means that visitors to your site aren’t staying long — which further means they won’t interact with your content.
- Ensure your site is accessible. Your site needs to be accessible for search engines and humans. If it’s full of large blocks of text, slow-loading elements, and minimal keywords indicating what service you offer, humans won’t find it very helpful. And neither will search engines.
