These Three Call-To-Action Strategies Will Convert Your Web Visitors

Marketing is a long game. Sure there are quick-fix techniques you can do if you’ve got a lot of money to throw at advertising and retargeting campaigns. But if you’re like the average business owner or operator, you’re not spending tens of thousands of dollars on marketing campaigns a month. And to be honest, if you invest in the marketing long-game you may not have to spend that much money.

Investing some of your dollars into marketing is important. But spending money for the sake of spending isn’t always the most strategic direction when it comes to generating leads or growing brand awareness.

Strategy requires a mindful approach to marketing. For example, you likely don’t want to always say the same things to your prospective clients as you do your current ones. Tailoring your marketing messages to their respective audiences will take time and a bit of an investment, but it will give you larger returns in the long run.

We’ve identified three Call-To-Actions (CTAs) you can start using today to grow and reach your target audience. And afterward, let the leads start flowing in! If you need help setting them up, schedule a consultation with us today to talk about your marketing needs.

1. Replace your newsletter popup with a quiz.

What do you do when you land on a web page and you’re scrolling through and then boom! Popup asking you sign up to a mailing list. Snoozefest. I would say 9/10 times you exit that pop-up and continue on with your life.

This is what most people do. People don’t want to sign up for another email marketing campaign list. They want to absorb the content on your page and live their lives free of distraction.

But if you offer them something interactive, like a quiz, then you’re providing value and fun while getting their contact information. It’s a win-win all around. Decide what type of quiz or fun-interactive questionnaire would attract your target audience and set it up on your site. Not only will you get quality leads, but you’ll also grow your mailing list and widen your audience.

2. Write exquisite copy.

Yes, we really mean exquisite. There are millions of webpages in the world all competing for views. Millions. There are probably a lot of competitors in your industry too. This means that the copy you provide in your Call-To-Actions must be exceptional. I mean, no pressure, but it has to be good.

What do we mean by good? It has to be easy to understand for the end user, it should probably be personable and friendly, (unless you’re a bank or something), and it should always be at a prominent place on your website. Don’t make someone scroll all the way to the bottom to find the thing they need to click to become a lead. Give them a lot of opportunities to click.

3. Write an eBook

Ok, this one will take a bit of an investment in your time. While that’s true, providing a free, downloadable e-book (that is of quality!) will help you grow your audience. It makes sense that you’d have to fill out a contact form to download a book. A book is something that takes a lot of time and effort to put together. Plus the folks that fill out the form will be much warmer leads for your business because you know they’re serious about the product you’re selling.

Chances are you are an expert in the business you own and/or operate. So use that expertise to share content with the world while growing and expanding your audience.
